Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Lyon is the cathedral of Lyon, founded by the first bishops of the city, Saint Pothinus and Saint Irenaeus. The cathedral was erected in the twelfth century on the ruins of a 6th century church.
Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Lyon is one of the most important churches in Lyon, along with the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière. Noteworthy, the cathedral features an astronomical clock from the 14th century.
