Ben’s Chili Bowl has been serving up their famous chili dogs for over half a Century now. Craving a dog at 6am? No problem, this family-owned Mecca does it all, and some pretty big names have walked through its doors too. Duke Ellington and Bill Cosby just to name a couple.
When the nearby bars on U Street close down for the night, Ben’s is still serving up half-smokes, cheese fries and turkey subs until the wee hours of the night. No trip to Washington could ever be complete without sampling the down home goodness of Ben’s.
